High Velocity Gas Burner

This burner can be used for furnace, refractory dry-outs and curing applications. It is also suitable for post weld heat treatment of large steel vessel and spherical tank on site. The vessel or tank is insulated externally, forming its own furnace and the burner provides a mean of firing into the vessel internally. The system employs a high pressure blower to enable “hot air” to be distributed into the heating chamber at high speed and thus creating a uniform balance of heat distribution throughout the entire chamber. Maximum burner output ratings: 6 – 8 million B.T.U./Hr.

Spheres are built according to ASME, Section VIII, Division 1 or 2, API 620 or BS 5500. In the United States, ASME, Section VIII, Division 1 is the most commonly used code of construction. Internationally spheres are often designed to a higher stress basis upon agreement between the user and the jurisdictional authorities.

Tujuan PROSES PWHT (Post Weld Heat Treatment)
Tujuan PWHT adalah untuk :
1. Menghilangkan tegangan sisa (Stress Relieving)
2. Mencegah terjadinya Stress Corrosion Cracking
3. Membantu difusi Hidrogen sehingga meminimalkan terjadinya Hydrogen Induced Cracking atau Hydrogen Embrittlement
PWHT dilakukan pada material yang memiliki ketebalan spesifik dan grade material tertentu:
- CS dan LTCS untuk thickness diatas 20 mm
- Low Alloy Steel dengan kurang dari 1/2% Cr, dengan thickness diatas 20 mm
- Low Alloy Steel dengan lebih dari 1/2% Cr, dengan thickness diatas 13 mm,
yang merujuk pada suatu standard code design & code construction yang berlaku internasional, seperti ASME B31.8 untuk piping Gas Transport, ASME Section VIII untuk pressure vessel dan ASME B 31.3 untuk pipa pada Piping Process.
PWHT juga diaplikasikan tanpa memperhatikan thickness untuk menghindari stress corrosion cracking untuk beberapa corrosive environment seperti amine, sour service, caustic.

Untuk MEA unit PWHT direkomendasikan untuk semua carbon steel tanpa memperhatikan temperatur untuk menghindari Alkaline Stress Corrosion Cracking (ASCC) , Amine selain MEA unit , PWHT direkomendasikan untuk carbon steel yang kontak dengan amine pada service temperatur diatas 82 deg C
- NACE SP 0472
Carbon steel yang kontak dengan sour service, PWHT direkomendasikan untuk mengontrol kekerasan HAZ guna memenuhi persyaratan 22HRC sperti yang dinyatakan di NACE MR 0175 untuk menghindari Sulfide Stress Corrosion Cracking (SCC)
- Carbon Steel yang kontak dengan Caustic Service
- Carbon Steel yang kontak dengan anhydrous ammonia, untuk menghindari Ammonia Stress Corrosion Cracking.
Aplikasi dari PWHT tanpa memperhatikan thickness ini harus me reffer ke project Requirement.
